Launch and Growth for a Mycology Brand
Jonny had the expertise and a track record of teaching, but his earlier courses hadn't landed the way they deserved. So we sat down and built a full launch plan: brand, logo, voice, community, pricing, and go-to-market.
-
I started by reviewing all of Jonny's existing content, then built an initial landing page. Getting something real into a client's hands early is always a strong first move: it makes the project tangible and opens the door to sharper ideation. From there we developed a color scheme, a font, and a brand voice, and documented all of it in Notion for easy access. This gave us a solid foundation for scaling and made the process faster, easier, and more consistent as the brand grew.
-
We worked with a professional designer to capture Jonny's vision. The brief called for a friendly yet mystical feel, rooted in how he describes Liminalis: the space in between the known and the unknown. We explored directions like light cutting through the center, a mycelium-inspired motif, and a sense of community, with the goal of merging marketability with science and mystique. The initial landing page at joinliminalis.com gave the designer deeper insight into who Jonny is and what he's building. The logo is still in progress, and a few elements of that page are being refined alongside it.
-
I built out a project management hub in Notion that became the brain behind the entire launch. It housed the launch board with every task and deadline, a budget, and the notes from our weekly Wednesday one-on-ones, alongside content ideas, the brand voice guide, and the style guide. Keeping everything in one place gave Jonny and I a shared source of truth for planning the launch and scaling toward success.
-
This was Jonny's most comprehensive course to date: seven modules, hands-on labs, and custom tooling. We wanted new members to feel welcomed, so we offered three months of community access free, with the option to continue afterward at $25 per month. The course itself was priced at $147 one time, with lifetime access. This accessible price point lets us reach more people, keeps the course feeling both valuable and approachable, and gives Jonny a flagship offer to bring people into the Liminalis ecosystem.
-
We built a waitlist and integrated it into the landing page at joinliminalis.com. Jonny is driving initial sign-ups through Instagram campaigns, which serve as the top of the funnel. From there, prospects can fully qualify themselves through the waitlist, which features FAQs, the course outline, pricing, and Jonny's background. The waitlist is connected to MailerLite, so every sign-up enters an email drip sequence that delivers more course details alongside genuinely useful, value-driven content. The course has not launched yet and is scheduled to go live in mid to late June, so the sequence is designed to keep subscribers warmed up and ready to hit the ground running on day one.

Having already scaled a community from zero to a thousand members, I brought that experience directly into this build. That meant feedback loops, custom community tools, engagement metrics, and a tailored onboarding flow designed to keep members active and supported from day one.
The Process
Strategy and Planning
We started by sitting down together to map the full launch. I reviewed all of Jonny's existing content, and from there we built a plan that covered the brand, community, pricing, and go-to-market. To keep everything organized, I set up a project management hub in Notion that became the shared brain for the launch: the launch board with tasks and deadlines, a budget, our weekly one-on-one notes, and our running ideas.
Brand and Foundation
Next, I built an initial landing page to make the project feel real early and open the door to sharper ideation. From there we developed a color scheme, a font, and a brand voice, and documented all of it in Notion for easy access. We also briefed a professional designer on the logo, capturing Jonny's vision of Liminalis as the space in between the known and the unknown. This foundation made scaling faster, easier, and more consistent as the brand grew.
Ecosystem and Tooling
With the foundation in place, we built out the systems that would carry the course. I architected the Circle community using lessons from a previous community I scaled from zero to a thousand members, adding feedback loops, custom tools, engagement metrics, and a tailored onboarding flow. We set the pricing to make the course accessible and valuable, and created custom tooling, including a tincture calculator, to give students a real reason to stay in the ecosystem.
Launch and Growth
Finally, we built the waitlist into the landing page and connected it to MailerLite, so every sign-up entered an email drip sequence that warmed subscribers up with course details and value-driven content. Jonny drove top-of-funnel traffic through Instagram campaigns, and the waitlist let prospects fully qualify themselves with FAQs, the course outline, pricing, and his background. With the course launching in mid to late June, the system is built to convert that audience and keep growing.

Three Ways to Work With Me
Whether you want it done for you or want to learn to build it yourself. There's a place for you here.
- Learn the exact architecture I used to build a 1,000+ member community paying $50/month
- We build things together, not just in theory
- Invite-only to keep the quality high
- Best for creators ready to commit to building their own system
- Pricing scales with the scope of work we agree on
- I set up whatever your system needs, end to end
- Full documentation and how-to guides included
- You stay in control and understand how it all works
- I handle the full build: website, automations, onboarding, app development, etc.
- My fee comes from new revenue only, not your existing income
- I'm selective. This is a partnership, not a service
- We build together, not just in theory
